It appears as though the Democratic People's Republic of Teplin (DPRT) is no more. Early reports are of a brief, but intense power struggle that threatened to tear the communist nation asunder; the details of which remain unknown at this time.
What exactly has emerged from the conflict is unclear, though order has been restored and dissolution of the nation formerly known as the DPRT appears unlikely. At present, the newly proclaimed "Fire Nation" is headed by a shadowy figure known only as the Fire Lord.
The King of Alkhar has voiced concern over the unrest within the realm, but respects the sovereign borders of the "Fire Nation" and has pledged to stay out of its internal politics as long as no other nations become threatened.
Dissolution of a nation into multiple nations is not allowed by the laws of the realm and would not be recognized by the authorities of the realm itself nor those of other nations. It may well have been knowledge of this fact that drove the warring factions of the DPRT to compromise.
One final note. Reports of religious fanaticism within the "Fire Nation" have reached the World Hub, but are as of yet unconfirmed.
